Site overview

This website has been tailored to four distinct stakeholder groups that are key audiences within the Trust & Foundation Schools Programme and are vital to its success; schools, governors, partners and parents.  We have therefore dedicated a section of the website to each of these audiences, tailoring information and resources as appropriate.

Links to each stakeholder section of the website can always be found on the right-hand side of each web page.  On the left-hand side of each page you will find the following headings:

FAQs - in this section we have included questions that are likely to be asked by our stakeholders and our answers.  If we have omitted any FAQs that you think would be of use to others, please let us know.

Latest news - here you can find out which schools have recently acquired trust or foundation status along with other newsworthy items.

Foundation schools - the definition of what a foundation school is can be found here, along with other useful information on areas of interest related to this type of school.

Trust schools - in this section trust schools are defined and information provided on the benefits of trust status, the supported schools programme and more.

Resources - supporting documentation, publications and resources such as toolkits and guides can be downloaded here.

Case studies - case studies from open trust schools, those schools pursuing trust status and from partners can be accessed here.

Blog - Maurice Peddelty, Headteacher of Samuel King’s School and Technology College (Alston, Cumbria) provides a useful insight in to what trust status has meant to him and his school.

Events - information on all forthcoming events being delivered by the Trust & Foundation Schools Partnership is posted here.

Photo gallery – photographs from the third Trust Schools National Conference (June 2009) can be found here and will be added to as the programme progresses.

Links to the consortium partners’ websites can be found on the right-hand side of each page, or from the appropriate logo at the bottom of each page.
